Hutchinson CC Sports Information

Hutchinson Community College sophomore Katharina Marx is the fifth different Blue Dragon women's soccer player to earn KJCCC Player of the Week honors.

The sophomore from Saarbrucken, Germany was named the Week 8 Division I Player of the week as Marx helped the Blue Dragons to a 1-0-1 record. The Blue Dragons defeated Barton 2-0 and earned a 1-1 draw with No. 7 Kansas City on the road last week to improve their current unbeaten streak to 5-0-2.

Marx had a game-winning goal and three overall points as No. 16 Hutchinson defeated Barton at home. Marx had a goal and an assist in pacing the Blue Dragons in a home win over the Cougars.

This is Marx's second career KJCCC Player of the Week award. She earned her first league award on October 3, 2023.

Marx is the third position player to earn KJCCC weekly honors, joining Haley Rogers and Kira Artmann.

The Blue Dragons close the regular season at 4 p.m. on Saturday against Cowley at the Salthawk Sports Complex.
