Posted a Top 30 time at the Emporia State Invitational, running 30:19.90 to finish 28th ... Ran a season-low 8K time of 27:18.4 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open, finishing 36th ... Ran 27:50.84 at the Region VI Championships to place 31st in the region and 19th in the Jayhawk West individual standings.

HIGH SCHOOL
Competed for three seasons at Hutchinson High School for coaches Edgar Guitarrez and Michael Garcia ... His best time as a sophomore was 19:41 over 5,000 meters. In just two seasons, that time was trimmed to 17:26 ... Best regional finish was seventh in senior season ... Also played football, wrestled and ran track at Hutch High.
