DELGADO EARNS NJCAA NATIONAL WEEKLY HONOR

Hutchinson Community College women's soccer forward Adriana Delgado was named the NJCAA Division I National Player of the Week after back-to-back games last week where she established or tied several career highs.

The sophomore forward from Wichita, had six goals and three assists for a 15-point week in three games, all Blue Dragon victories.

Against Dodge City, Delgado netted the game winner, tying her career high with two goals and establishing a new career bests with two assist and six points in a 4-1 victory.

Delgado reset her career highs for goals and points with four goals and nine points in a 10-0 rout of Crowder. Delgado's hat trick is the 98th in program history.

Delgado is the second-straight Blue Dragon to earn conference weekly honors, joining Kaitlyn Edwards, who won the award last week.

Delgado is the first Blue Dragon to earn national honors since Madison Quarles as named national goalkeeper of the week on October 22, 2022. She is the first national Player of the Week since October 28, 2021 when Hadlie Lowe earned the award.
