DELGADO SCORES 4 GOALS IN DRAGON OFFENSIVE ONSLAUGHT

ENID, Oklahoma – Sophomore forward Adriana Delgado set career single-game highs for points and goals for a second-straight game and the No. 16-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team scored 10 goals in a game for the first time since 2019 on Saturday against Crowder College.

The Blue Dragons rolled to a 10-0 victory over Crowder in a neutral-site game played at the Advance Soccer Complex on Saturday. Hutchinson (4-0-1) will play NOC-Enid at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Delgado scored a career-high four goals and had an assist for a career-best nine points against Crowder. She had three goals in the first half, posting the 98th all-time hat trick in Blue Dragon women's soccer history.

Delgado's four-goal game is the first by a Blue Dragon since Hadlie Lowe scored four against Dodge City on October 12 of last season. Delgado's nine points are the most by a Blue Dragon since Naomi Waithra had an eight-point game against Hesston College on October 9, 2019. Delgado is the first Blue Dragon to have nine or more points in a game since Samantha Vaughn had a 16-point game against Hesston College on September 14, 2019.

Delgado now has a team-high eight goals scored this season.

Hutchinson's 10-goal explosion – the Dragons led Crowder 6-0 at halftime – is the first game with 10 or more goals since a 19-0 rout of Hesston College on September 14, 2019.

The Blue Dragons dominated play from the outset, outshooting Crowder 40-3 on total shots taken and 22-1 on shots on goal.

Freshman Katharina Marx had her first career multi-goal game with two goals scored on Saturday. She now has four goals for the season.

Freshman Kaitlyn Edwards had a goal and two assists for a four-point game. Edwards now has six goals this season and she had her first career multi-assist game. This was also her third multi-point game (three or more points in a game) of the season.

Freshmen Maria Azevedo and Emma Hoffman both tallied three points on Saturday. Both Azevedo and Hoffman scored a goal and had an assist. Azevedo was credited with her first career game-winning goal.

Sophomore Tatiana Mayumi and freshman Nancy Stefanek and Kaylee Monk also had assists on Saturday.

Freshman goalkeeper Karsyn Slothower posted her fourth shutout of the season, having to make just one save in the game.

This was the first all-time meeting between Hutchinson and Crowder in women's soccer.
