The No. 20-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team starts a significant stretch of games on Saturday with a Jayhawk Conference road trip to Johnson County.

The Blue Dragons (7-0, 4-0 Jayhawk West) and the Cavaliers (4-5, 3-4 Jayhawk East) kick off at the JCCC Soccer Complex at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Johnson County YouTube Channel will provide the live videostream.

This past Monday, the Blue Dragons returned to the NJCAA national rankings for the first time since 2017. Then on Wednesday, sophomore Aimee Maher posted her first career hat trick in a 6-0 victory over Dodge City at the Salthawk Sports Complex.

Now the Blue Dragons take on a Johnson County team that they have lost six games in a row to and 7 of the last 8 games played. Last season Hutchinson dropped a 1-0 decision to the Cavaliers in Hutchinson.

This series has produced 13 one-goal games in 22 overall meetings.

The Johnson County game opens a tough five-game stretch for the Blue Dragons. Starting with Johnson County, the Blue Dragons then travel to No. 12 Cowley on Wednesday and plays host to No. 17 Coffeyville next Saturday, September 24 to close out the September schedule. Hutchinson travels to No. 6 Butler on Saturday, October 1 and closes the stretch of ranked opponents with a home game against No. 13 Barton on October 5.

The Blue Dragons enter Saturday's game with a stretch of four-consecutive shutouts.

Sophomore Hadlie Lowe continues to lead the Blue Dragons offensively with 19 points (7 goals, 5 assists. Sophomore midfielders Julia De Souza and Maher with have 11 points. Mayer had four goals and three assists, while De Souza has two goals and a team-high seven assists.

Both Lowe and De Souza had single-game career highs with three assists each on Wednesday against Dodge City.

Johnson County has dropped three of its last four games, including a 2-1 loss at Kansas City on Wednesday.

The head coaches in Saturday's matchup between the Blue Dragons and Cavaliers rank No. 3 and No. 1 all-time in Jayhawk Conference victories.

Blue Dragon head coach Sammy Lane is third with 240 victories. Johnson County head coach Jim Schwab is the conference's career coaching wins leader with 346 victories.
