Hutchinson CC Sports Information

The Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team makes its second road trip of the season and travels to the newest member of the Jayhawk Conference on Saturday.

Hutchinson (4-0-1, 2-0-1 Jayhawk Conference) travels to Hesston College (0-6, 0-3) for a Jayhawk West contest at 7 p.m. at Hesston's new soccer field. The game will be streamed by Hesston College video.

Hesston became the 21st member of the Jayhawk Conference this year. While past meetings with the Larks had regional ramifications, all games going forward between Hutchinson and Hesston will count in the conference standings.

Hutchinson enters Saturday's game after an 8-0 blanking of Garden City on Wednesday. Freshman Macy Smith posted her first hat trick while freshman Alix Miller and sophomore Brailey Moeder had two assists each. Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Camp had three saves in her third shutout of the season, including stopping a penalty kick.

Hesston College has had a tough start to the season at 0-6 and 0-3 in conference play. The Larks were on the wrong end of a 13-0 score on Wednesday at Barton.

The Blue Dragons continue to be the highest-scoring team in the Jayhawk West, outscoring their first give opponents 35-3. Hesston has been outscored 33-3.

Sophomore Megan Maslak continues to be the Blue Dragons' leading scorer with nine goals and three assists (21 points).Moeder has five goals and six assists (16 points). Sydney Blackwell also has five goals.

Maslak, Moeder and Smith have all had hat tricks this season.
