After time as a student in the program and a nearly three-year stint as assistant Athletic Trainer, Sarah Lemmons is now the Blue Dragon Sports Medicine Program’s Head Athletic Trainer.
Hired to the position on July 18, 2022, Lemmons joined the Blue Dragon Sports Medicine program as Assistant Athletic Trainer in December 2019.
Lemmons went through the HutchCC Sports Medicine program as a student from 2011 to 2013. She then continued her education at Emporia State University where she received her B.S. in Athletic Training in May 2016, and her plan is to graduate with her Masters in Health, Recreation, and Physical Education in Fall 2020.
Before arriving at Hutchinson Community College, Lemmons started her career in Portales, NM as an Assistant ATC at Eastern New Mexico University for two years. At ENMU, she had several roles, but mainly worked women’s Soccer, men’s/women’s basketball and baseball.
Lemmons then moved back to Kansas and took an Assistant ATC position at Garden City Community College where she was the lead football athletic trainer for two years, before returning to HutchCC.
Lemmons is originally from Haysville, Kansas.
