LIBERAL – Sophomore libero Raychel Reed moved into seventh place on the Hutchinson Community College career digs list, but not much else went right for the Blue Dragons on Saturday night at the Green House.

No. 10-ranked Seward County Saints finished off a season sweep of Hutchinson with a sweep of the Blue Dragons. The Saints downed Hutchinson 25-9, 25-19, 25-19, snapping the Blue Dragons' four-match winning streak.

Hutchinson falls to 12-10 overall and 8-3 in the Jayhawk West. The Blue Dragons will have a short turnaround to prepare for Colby, which comes into the Sports Arena at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Reed had a team-high 13 digs to move past Molly Bergkamp into seventh place on the career digs list. Reed now has 909 career digs.

Elena Takova had six kills on 21 swings for the Blue Dragons and Lexi Hogan added six kills on 26 attacks to lead the Blue Dragon offense. Delilah Vigil had five kills.

Cassidy Crites had 10 assists in the match.

The Blue Dragons had just four blocks and four ace serves in the match.
