Coming off a 4-1 week last week, which included a victory over the No. 9 team in the nation, the Hutchinson Community College volleyball team looks to continue that surge as the Blue Dragons return to the Sports Arena on Wednesday.

The Blue Dragons (11-9, 6-2 Jayhawk West) play host to the Pratt Beavers (10-14, 3-5) in the second meeting of the season between the two teams at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sports Arena. The game will be streamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network.

The Dragons are hitting .205 for the season, but in four matches at the TJC Invitational last weekend in Tyler, Texas, Hutchinson hit .242 In their five-set win over Monroe College, the Dragons hit .315 and had a season-high 73 digs.

Pratt is 7-3 in its last 10 matches. The Beavers were swept by Hesston College and then swept the Ottawa University JV on Saturday.

Hutchinson won the first meeting of the season on September 5 at Pratt in three sets (25-23, 28-26, 25-12).

Eden Hiebert had 10 kills and Lauren Willson added eight kills to lead Hutchinson in the first meeting. Hutch hit .171 with eight kills, seven aces and 66 digs.

Pratt hit .112 against Hutch, getting a team-high seven kills from Stephanie Reichenberger.
