Hutchinson Community College sophomore Page Hiebert became the 14th Blue Dragon Volleyball All-American on Thursday, being named to the 2017 NJCAA second team.

Hiebert a 6-foot outside hitter from Goessel, is the first All-American since Aubrey Wilson in 2015. She is the fifth All-American in head coach Patrick Hall's six seasons with the Blue Dragons.

Hiebert had one of the best offensive seasons in Blue Dragon history in program history in leading the Blue Dragons to a 27-14 overall record, a Region VI Tournament championship and an appearance in the NJCAA Tournament, the first held in Hutchinson in tournament history.

Hutchinson's outside hitter led the nation in total kills with 578 and was third in the NJCAA in kills per set at 4.10.

The Blue Dragon sophomore had six matches of 20 or more kills, including tying a Hutchinson single match record for kills with 28 against No. 2 Iowa Western in the Midwest Superstore/Blue Dragon Classic in September 22 at the Sports Arena. She also set a single-match record with 82 total attacks in that same match against Iowa Western.

Her 578 total kills ranked third in Blue Dragon single-season history and her 4.10 kills per set ranked second in team season history.

Hiebert also totaled 1,604 total attacks, which is a season record for the Blue Dragons. Her 11.38 swings per set were another Hutch record broken.

Hiebert also had 379 total digs (2.69 digs per set), 60 total blocks (0.43 blocks per set) and a team-high 41 aces (0.29 aces per set).

Hiebert posted 10 double-doubles this season.

The Blue Dragon outside hitter also moved up several career charts in her two seasons with the Blue Dragons, which included one conference title and one regional championship:

+ Her 877 career kills rank third on the Hutch career list.

+ Her 3.37 kills per set ranks third.

+ Her 2,409 total attacks rank third.

+ Her 9.27 attacks per set ranks fourth.

Hiebert was a two-time first-team All-Jayhawk West selection and 2016 Jayhawk West Freshman of the Year.

Hiebert was one of two Jayhawk West players to earn All-America status this season. Seward County setter and Jayhawk West Player of the Year Giovanna Kuntze was a first-team All-American.
