The Hutchinson Community College Volleyball Team looks to avenge a September loss on Wednesday when the Colby Trojans come to the Sports Arena for a key Jayhawk West battle.

The Blue Dragons and Trojans will meet at 6:30 p.m. The game will be videostreamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Hutchinson and Colby are in second- and third-place, respectively in the Jayhawk West. For the Dragons to keep their hopes for a sixth-straight conference title alive, they will likely need to run the table and get some help to catch front-runner and No. 4-ranked Seward County.

Colby defeated Hutchinson in four sets on September 16 at the Colby Community Building.

The Blue Dragons had one of their worst offensive outings in 2017 in that first Colby match hitting just .071 with 38 kills and 28 attack errors. Page Hiebert led the Blue Dragons in the first match with 11 kills. Nina Pevic had nine kills.

Colby hit only .138 against the Blue Dragons. Julie Archer hit .424 on 17 kills to lead the Trojans.

The Blue Dragons went 2-2 at the Grizzly Classic in West Plains, Missouri, over the weekend and then swept Dodge City on Monday night on the road. The Dragons have won five Jayhawk West matches in a row.

The Trojans also went 2-2 in tournament action and are 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Both Hutchinson and Colby have clinched home-court matches for the upcoming 2017 Region VI Tournament.
