DODGE CITY – The Hutchinson Community College volleyball team had the ability to finish strong in each set on Monday night as the Blue Dragons earned a Jayhawk West road sweep of Dodge City.

Hutchinson earned its 22nd victory of the season with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-17 victory over the Conquistadors. The Blue Dragons improve to 22-11 overall and 11-2 in the Jayhawk West. The Dragons will play host to Colby at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sports Arena.

Hutch's second-set rally was typical of how things transpired on Monday. Dodge City led the Blue Dragons 20-16 in the second set, but they rallied with a 9-0 run served by sophomore Kelsey Mulligan. The Dragons and Conquistadors were tied at 9-9 in the first set and the Dragons used a 6-0 run to break things open.

Sophomore Page Hiebert led Hutchinson with 16 kills on .200 hitting on 45 attacks. Hiebert added one solo and two block assists.

Sophomore Tatyana Ndekwe had 14 kills on .571 hitting. She added one solo and four block assists.

Sophomore Nina Pevic had 11 kills on .625 hitting.

Freshman Cassidy Crites led the Dragons with 26 assists. She also hit .571 with five kills. Sophomore setter Katie Jorn added 21 assists and two service aces.

Mulligan led the Blue Dragons with 23 digs. Raychel Reed had 10 digs.
