The Hutchinson Community College volleyball team earned all three Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week awards after their stellar performances last week.

Sophomore Page Hiebert was named the conference's Player of the Week for the third time this season. Sophomore Katie Jorn was named the Jayhawk West's Setter of the Week and freshman libero Raychel Reed was named the KJCCC West's Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first weekly award this season for both Jorn and Reed.

The Blue Dragons went 5-1 last week, which included a 3-1 showing at the Midwest Superstore/Blue Dragon Volleyball Classic at the Sports Arena. The only loss last week was a five-set battle with No. 2 Iowa Western.

PAGE HIEBERT – Player of the Week
The 6-foot sophomore outside hitter from Goessel had the best single week of her career last week for the Blue Dragons, tying the program's single-match kills mark against the No. 2 team in the country.

For the week over six matches (22 sets played), Hiebert averaged 4.91 kills per set and hit .326. She had three double-doubles in averaging 2.95 digs per set as well. Five times, Hiebert had at least 15 kills and three times she reached 20 kills.

In a five-set loss to Iowa Western, Hiebert tied the Blue Dragon single-match record with 28 kills on .305 hitting. Her 82 attacks broke the Hutch single-match record. In a three-set sweep of No. 6 Indian Hills, Hiebert hit .533 on 15 kills with nine digs.

Over the four matches of the Midwest Superstore/Blue Dragon Classic against Frank Phillips, No. 6 Indian Hills, Odessa and No. 2 Iowa Western, Hiebert had 83 kills (5.18 per set) and hit .318

KATIE JORN – Setter of the Week
A 5-8 sophomore from Derby had one of her most dynamic and productive weeks of her Blue Dragon career in a 5-1 week for the Blue Dragons, which included a sweep of No. 6 Indian Hills.

For the week in 22 sets played, Jorn averaged 10.05 assists per set with a kill percentage of .397.

She broke her career high for assists three times last week, including a sensational 52-assist effort in a five-set loss to No. 2 Iowa Western. Jorn added eight digs and a career-high four blocks in the match against the Reivers.

The 52 assists tied for the 11th-most assists in team single-match history.

RAYCHEL REED – Defensive Player of the Week
The 5-4 freshman from Aurora, Colorado, led an incredible defensive performance against some of the top teams in the nation over the weekend.

For the week, Reed tallied 117 digs in 22 sets plays, which is an average of 5.32 digs per set. She had only one service reception error in 92 chances last week. The one error came in a match she had 30 service receptions.

In a four-set win over Odessa, Reed had a career-high 25 digs and just a few hours later smashed that mark with a 34-dig effort in a five-set loss to No. 2 Iowa Western.

Reed's 34 digs tied for the second most in Blue Dragon single-match history.
