GARDEN CITY – The Hutchinson Community College volleyball team swept the Garden City Broncbusters on Monday night to complete a season sweep.

The Blue Dragons downed Garden City 25-17-25-17, 27-25.

Hutchinson improves to 14-6 overall and 6-1 in the Jayhawk West. Garden City is 3-16 and 1-5. The Blue Dragons return home on Wednesday to meet No. 9 Seward County at 6:30 p.m. at the Sports Arena.

Sophomore Page Hiebert led the Blue Dragons offensively with 15 kills on 37 swings. She hit .297 for the match and added seven digs.

Freshman Leonie Wienkaemper had nine kills on 21 attack and hit .381.

Sophomore setter Katie Jorn had 18 assists and freshman Payton Gawith had 12.

Sophomore libero Kelsey Mulligan led the Dragons with 15 digs. Freshman Claira Creach had seven digs.
