Hutch Night Relays

For years, the Hutch Night Relays at Gowans Stadium was one of the premeire track and field events in the state of Kansas. The Night Relays were one of the longest consecutive-running track and field meets in the nation (46 years) before the end came in 1991.

With the renovation of Gowans Stadium completed in 2006, it was time to bring the Night Relays back to life. In 2007, a field of 12 teams had to wait two extra days because of bad weather and on April 9, 2007, the Relays were back.
