HUTCH WOMEN’S TRACK STARTS NO. 13 IN INDOOR RANKINGS

Hutchinson CC Sports Information

The Hutchinson Community College women's track and field team is ranked No. 13 in the first indoor rankings by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released on Wednesday.

Through two meets of the 2018 indoor season, only defending national 60-meter hurdle champion Adriana Janic has qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Championships in March at Lubbock, Texas. Janic qualified in the high jump. Several other Blue Dragons are nearing qualifying marks.

Entering action this Friday at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, the Blue Dragons have four individuals and one relay ranked in the Top 10 of the NJCAA Indoor performance charts.

The Blue Dragons are one of eight Jayhawk Conference teams in the initial rankings of the season.

The next rankings will be released next Wednesday, January 31.
