Hutchinson Community College women's soccer coach Sammy Lane will see somebody very familiar on the opposing bench when the No. 19 Blue Dragons visit Pratt on Wednesday.

For the first time as the Blue Dragon head coach, Lane will be coaching against one of his former Blue Dragon players in new Pratt head coach Ashley Burnett.

Game time for Wednesday's Jayhawk Conference matchup in Pratt is 2 p.m. Pratt video will provide the live videostream.

Burnett played on a pair of Jayhawk Conference and one Region VI championship teams in her two seasons with the Blue Dragons in 2010 and 2011. Burnett, who came to Hutchinson from Carnoustie, Scotland, had 16 goals and 11 assists for the Blue Dragons.

After Hutchinson, Burnett moved into Oklahoma Wesleyan where she earned all-conference and all-region honors. She then became an assistant at OWU for three seasons before taking over at Pratt.

Pratt is 0-4 overall and is playing its first conference match of the season. The Beavers have been outscored 20-0 with losses to Rose State, Coffeyville, Redlands and Hesston.

The Blue Dragons have outscored their five opponents 20-0 thus far. The 2017 Blue Dragons look to tie a team record with six-straight shutouts to start the season, matching the 2009 and 2012 teams.

Freshman Brailey Moeder leads the Blue Dragons with 14 total points, scoring a point in each of the Dragons' first five games. Over her last three games, Moeder has three goals and four assists, including the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Rose State on August 31.

Hutchinson comes off a 6-0 conference-opening victory over Barton on Saturday at the Salthawk Sports Complex.

Wednesday's game is the first away from home for the Blue Dragons. Hutchinson will be at Northwest Tech on Saturday before returning home to take on Dodge City on September 20.
