JACKSON NAMED NJCAA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Hailey Jackson was named NJCAA Division I National Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday for the second time this season.

With a 30-point game and a 20-point game on last week's resume, Hutchinson Community College sophomore forward Hailey Jackson was named the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Player of the Week on Wednesday.

The sophomore from Tulsa, Oklahoma, earned her second national weekly award this season – also winning it on December 18. Jackson has also won three Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week awards in her sophomore season.

Last week Jackson averaged 27.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists as No. 8 Hutchinson defeated Garden City and Cloud County.

Against Garden City, Jackson scored a career-high 32 points on 11 of 14 shooting with eight rebounds in a 66-53 road win at Garden City. With that performance, Jackson moved into the Hutchinson Career Scoring Top 10.

Two days later, Jackson had 22 points and nine rebounds to lift the Dragons to a 71-66 home win over Cloud County.

The Blue Dragon sophomore continues to lead the KJCCC in scoring at 18.6 points per game.
