For the second time this season, Hutchinson Community College sophomore guard Kalyn Ervin was named the Jayhawk Conference Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Ervin had a huge week for the Blue Dragons, who went 3-0, including a victory over first-place Independence for games played from Jan. 17-23.

For the week, Ervin, a sophomore guard from Indianapolis, IN, averaged 19.0 points and 3.3 rebounds. She shot 48.8 percent overall and was a stellar 11 of 22 from 3-point range. Against Pratt, Ervin had career highs of 27 points on 10 of 12 shooting. She was a career-high 5 of 5 from 3-point range.

Ervin also won league Player of the Week honors in the second week of the season. She is the third Blue Dragon to win league weekly honors, joining guard Mya Williams and former Mele Kailahi.

Blue Dragons have won league honors in the last two weeks.
