Hutchinson Community College sophomore Abby Ogle earned her third Jayhawk Conference Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week award on Tuesday.

Last week the Baldwin City product led the No. 6-ranked Blue Dragons to victories over Northwest Tech and Garden City, the team's eighth- and ninth-consecutive victories. Ogle continued her impressive play, averaging 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two wins last week. Ogle shot 76.2 percent from the field and went 6 of 6 from the foul line.

She had 24 points and eight rebounds against Northwest Tech and added 14 points and eight rebounds against Garden City.

Ogle is the third leading scorer in the KJCCC at 16.5 points per game and in field-goal percentage at 61.6 percent. She is also No. 1 in steals with 97.

The last time a Blue Dragon player won the league's Player of the Week award three times in the same season was Kalani Purcell in 2015.

Ogle is now eligible for national player of the week honors. That award will be announced Wednesday. Ogle has been the NJCAA Player of the Week once this season on January 8.
