Sophomore Abby Ogle nearly posted a triple-double and set a program single-game record for steals as the No. 7-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team set numerous team records against the Hesston Larks.

After Hesston scored the first points of the game, the Blue Dragons scored 17 unanswered and kept doing in a 127-37 victory over the Larks on Tuesday night at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons improve to 4-0 heading into the Cougar Booster Club Classic this weekend in Great Bend with Labette on Friday and Jefferson College on Saturday. Hesston dropped its 15th game in a row dating back to last season. The Larks are 0-8 this season.

Hutchinson set seven single-game team records against the Larks:

+ Most points through three quarters – 100
+ Most points in a half – 69 (previous high 60 vs. Labette in 2016)
+ Margin of victory – 90 (previous high 83 vs. Labette in 2016)

Hutchinson's 60.0 percent shooting for the game (54 of 90) is the sixth-best single-game shot percentage in team history. The Dragons' 32 assists tied for the second most in team history.

Ogle scored a career-high 29 points on 13 of 17 shooting. She also dished out a career-high eight assists.

Ogle broke Brenna McClure's 2016 steals record with 12 thefts. Ogle is the third Blue Dragon to have 10 steals in a game, joining McClure, who had 11 vs. the Tabor JV in 2016 and Inja Butina, who had 10 against Allen in 2015.

Ogle was one of five Blue Dragons to score in double figures.

Nafatoumata Haidara just missed a double-double with a season-high 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting. She also had nine rebounds and five steals. Tor'e Alford knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 21 points, four assists and four steals.

Brooklyn Betham had 17 points, scoring 12 in a 34-10 Blue Dragon first quarter. Lauryn Mapusua had 12 points, four assists and four steals. Gelicia Cooper and Sasha Francis had nine points each.

Hutchinson hit 7 of 22 from 3-point range and 12 of 24 from the foul line. Hutch had a 41-35 rebounding advantage. Five different players had four or more assists for the Blue Dragons.

Hesston was held to 30.4 percent shooting (14 of 46), going 2 of 11 from 3-point range and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.

Gina DeFazio led Hesston with 13 points. Sydney Bontrager had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
