The No. 4-ranked Blue Dragons (15-0) and the Tigers (13-3) will battle at 5:30 p.m. It will be Hutch Red Night with the Blue Dragons. All HRC youth basketball players who wear their uniform are admitted free to the games.

The game will be videostreamed live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 5:25 p.m.

Hutchinson is 6-0 in the Jayhawk West, one game ahead of Seward County. The Blue Dragons have one-game lead over the Saints after last Saturday's 102-67 win at Allen. The Dragons had a bye on Wednesday.

The Tigers are 5-2 in the Jayhawk East and are tied with Butler and Cloud County for first place in that division. Cowley has won two in a row and 8 of 10 after Wednesday's 80-60 home win against Dodge City.

The series is tied with Hutch leading 24-22. But the Blue Dragons have won 11-straight games over the Tigers dating back to 2004 in the opening round of the Region VI Tournament. Before the Dragons' current win streak, Cowley had won 10 of 11 in the series. Last season, the Blue Dragons swept the Tigers, winning 78-70 in Arkansas City and 67-45 at the Sports Arena.

Cowley brings in the Nos. 8 and 9 leading scorers in the Jayhawk Conference in Kedranea' Addison and Paige Granstaff. Addison is eighth in scoring at 13.7 points per game shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from 3-point range. Granstaff is ninth at 13.5 points per game. She has hit the fourth-most 3-pointers with 35 and leads the KJCCC in free-throw percentage at 87.5 percent.

The Tigers rank third offensively in the league at 79.9 points per game. Cowley leads the conference on three-throw percentage (73.2 percent) and made 3-pointers per game (8.3). The Tigers are second in 3-point percentage (31.5). Cowley also leads the lead with 16 steals per game.

The Blue Dragons continue to lead the league in scoring offense (84.4) and scoring defense (48.8). The Dragons also lead the KJCCC in field-goal percentage (46.2), assists (20.5), rebounding margin (plus 18.6) and defensive field-goal percentage (30.0 percent).

Sophomore Dejanae Roebuck leads the Dragons in scoring and his fourth in the KJCCC at 15.7 points per game. She is fifth in field-goal percentage (53.1 percent) and seventh in rebounding (8.1). Roebuck is 21 points from becoming the 29th Blue Dragon to reach 700 career points.

Hutchinson head coach John Ontjes will be coaching his 399th game with the Blue Dragons. Game No. 400 comes on Monday at Northwest Kansas Tech.

The Dragons start a four-game-in-eight-day stretch on Saturday. After Cowley and the road game to Goodland on Monday, the Dragons are at home for Garden City on Wednesday and Pratt on January 19.
