Four-straight double-doubles helped Hutchinson Community College freshman forward Jada Mickens win her first Jayhawk Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award.

The 6-foot freshman from Liberal, powered the Blue Dragon women to four wins, two over nationally ranked opponents, and help Hutchinson to an 11-game winning streak.

Over four games – including the two games in Florida over the Christmas break – Mickens averaged 18.5 points and 12.5 rebounds.

In Hutch's win at No. 18 Cowley, Mickens had 11 points and 11 boards. Her best effort was 23 points and 13 rebounds in a victory over Allen. Mickens now has five consecutive and nine overall double-doubles for the season. She is third in the Jayhawk Conference in scoring and leads the league in rebounding at 16.3 points and 11.2 rebounds, respectively.

Mickens is the first Blue Dragon to win a conference Player of the Week award this season.
