Anna Woods is in her fifth season as a part-time assistant softball coach for the Blue Dragons. She is the team’s strength and conditioning coach.

Since joining the Blue Dragon staff, Hutchinson softball has produced a 161-45 record with one Jayhawk Conference championship, one Region VI crown and the program’s first-ever trip to the NJCAA Softball World Series.

The 2024 Blue Dragons posted a school-record 47 wins in a 47-12 season. The Blue Dragons finished second in the Jayhawk Conference, but battled back through the losers’ bracket to claim the Blue Dragons’ first Region VI Tournament championship since 1987 and earn a World Series berth for the first time in program history.

A Buhler High School product, Woods played softball at Pratt Community College from 2001-03 as a pitcher and third baseman. She was an All-Region VI third-team selection in 2003 as an infielder. At Buhler, Woods still holds the career earned-run average record for the Crusaders.

Woods earned her Associate of Arts degree in graphic design from Pratt in 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Marketing from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2005.

Wood and her husband, Jerad have three children – Leah (18), Blake (14) and Autum (14).

In addition to her duties at HutchCC, Woods owns and operates SheStrength by Anna Woods Fitness in Buhler.
