The Hutchinson Community College softball team shows plenty of resiliency in the resumption of a suspended game at NOC-Enid on Monday afternoon.

The Blue Dragons scored two runs while down their final strike in the top of the seventh, but the Jets walked off for a 16-15 victory at the NOC-Enid softball field. The game was suspended on Feb. 5 after 31/2 innings because of darkness.

Before the suspension, the Blue Dragons led 7-2 before the Jets scored 11 runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Dragons immediately came back with four runs in the top of the fourth to pull within 13-12 at the point of suspension.

When the game was picked back up on Monday, Brooke Jamison, A.J. Briones and Cassidy Prucha were all inserted into the lineup. All three left their mark on the game.

Down 15-12 after five innings, Briones singled with one out in the sixth to pull within two runs. Then in the seventh, Prucha – who doubled in her previous at-bat – singled and went to third on Shelby Felvus' hit. Alexis Way had an RBI single and then Jamison singled home Felvus with the tying run to make it 15-all.

With one out in the seventh, Megan Lee doubled for her fourth hit of the game and Lauren Ball singled her home to end the game.

The Blue Dragons out-hit NOC-Enid 23-13. The 23 hits ties for the third-most in team single-game history. The Blue Dragons couldn't overtime five errors that led to seven unearned runs.

Way, Felvus, Kiara DeCrane and Aubrey Peck all had three hits to lead the Blue Dragons. Taylor Ullery, Isabel McCarty and Prucha had two hits each.

DeCrane, McCarty, Prucha and Caitlin Schumacher all had doubles and Brynne Stockman homered.

Way and Peck drove in three runs each. Ullery and Stockman had two RBIs each.

Megan Davis (1-1) took the loss. She worked 5 1-3 innings and allowed seven hits, eight runs, five were earned with two strikeouts and two walks.

The Blue Dragons travel to play Hesston College on Thursday in Hesston.
