The Hutchinson Community College softball team has once again adjusted its schedule for the entire week heading into Tuesday.
Originally scheduled to play at Rose State on Tuesday, the 4-0 Blue Dragons will now play the Bethel College JV at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Wedel Field in Newton.
Thursday's doubleheader in Bartlesville, Oklahoma against the Oklahoma Wesleyan JV on Thursday is still on as scheduled, but the Blue Dragons will stay in Oklahoma to play Rose State at Midwest City on Friday and 2 p.m. in a doubleheader.
Hutchinson hasn't played since a February 14 doubleheader sweep of Barton in Great Bend. The Blue Dragons have lost six games to weather since the start of the season. Hutchinson still won't be back home until March 13 against Hesston College.
Heading into Tuesday's doubleheader, the Blue Dragons have a team batting average of .402 with 9.8 runs per game in four wins over Pratt and Barton. Izzy Godinez is hitting .643, Raven Bass is hitting .545 with two homers and Aston Reynolds is hitting .467 to lead the Blue Dragons through four games.
D.J. Cannon leads the Blue Dragons in the pitching circle with a 2-0 record and a 0.82 ERA. Destiny Schulze is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA. Cannon has 15 strikeouts and Schulze had 11 strikeouts.
