HUNTSVILLE, Alabama - Hutchinson Community College freshman Leo LeGrand saves his best race of the season for his last as he posted a personal-best time on Saturday at the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.

LeGrand was the top finisher of the three Blue Dragon men's runners to compete on Saturday at the John Hunt Cross Country Course.

The Blue Dragon freshman ran an 8,000-meter time of 26:35.30 to finish 78th in a field of more than 210 runners. That time topped his previous PR set at the Region VI championships by 2.25 seconds.

Sophomore Christian Darrah placed 84th with a time of 26:43.90.

Freshman David Ultreras was 125th with a time of 27:32.20.

Trinidad State won the men's team championship with a score of 71 points. Salt Lake was second with 78 points and Colby was third with 102 points.

Salt Lake's LaQuavius Harris won the team individual title with a time of 23:18.00
