Hutchinson CC Sports Information

WICHITA – Sophomore Jack Losew posted a top five finish to lead a small contingent of Hutchinson Community College men's track and field athletes on Friday during Day 1 of the Wichita State/Herm Wilson Classic at the Heskett Center.

Losew had his highest career finish with a fifth-place performance in the men's triple jump on Friday. Losew had a season-best performance of 43 feet, 2 ½ inches (13.17 meters) to lead the Blue Dragons on Friday. Freshman Makail Nelson placed eighth in the triple jump at 40-11 1/4 (23.48m).

Sophomore Noah Raigoza threw 43-1 to finished 15th overall in the men's weight throw with a throw of 43-1 (13.19m). Sophomore Andrew Hildebrand posted a PR of 39-1 (11.92m) to place 23rd overall and Caleb Davis placed 30th with a throw of 31-9 (11.69m).

The Blue Dragons will compete in two meets on Saturday. The Blue Dragon distance runners will run in the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational at the Plaster Center. The rest of the team will compete in Day 2 of the Herm Wilson Classic.
