NORTH NEWTON – Four Hutchinson Community College men's track and field athletes won events on Saturday at the Bethel College Invitational on Saturday at Thresher Stadium.

Alexander Holt, Sharim Hamilton, Ezekiel Seamster and Adrian Diamond led the Blue Dragons with event championships and topped a list of nine Top 3 event finishes by Hutchinson athletes.

Seamster won the 100 meters with a time of 10.57 seconds, which is a personal record for the Hutchinson High product. Seamster just missed qualifying for the NJCAA Championships by 0.4 seconds.

Holt won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.99 seconds. He placed first out of qualifying with a time of 14.92 seconds.

Hamilton earned the victory in the 400 meters with a time of 49.41 seconds.

Dimond led three Blue Dragons in the triple jump with a winning jump of 43 feet, 11.75 inches (13.40 meters). Jack Losew was third in the triple jump with a PR jump of 41-0.25 (12.50m). James Knowles was fifth in the event at 39.3 (11.96m).

Three other Blue Dragons had second-place individual finishes on Saturday.

Freshmen Braydon Peterson and Tanner Tustain tied for second the men's pole vault after both cleared 13-4.5 (4.07m). Tustain's performance was a PR.

Freshman Christian Darrah was second in the 1,500 meters after posting a time of 4:16.18.

Losew and Dimond both posted PRs in the long jump. Losew finished third with a jump of 21-0.75 (6.42m). Dimond was fourth with a jump of 20-11.75 (6.39m).

Sophomore Evan Avitia placed in two events on Saturday. Avitia was sixth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:22.41. He was eighth in the 800 meters in a time of 2:06.70.

Knowles was sixth in the high jump after clearing 5 feet, 3 inches (1.60m).

Freshman Wesley Miller was seventh in the hammer throw with a PR performance of 117011 (35.95m).

Freshman Cameron Campbell placed seventh in the 100 meters with a time of 11.02 seconds.

Freshman Douwe Bentsink was eighth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:23.73.

The Blue Dragons next compete at the Tabor Invitational next Saturday in Hillsboro.
