Opening the season at the Washburn University Rust Buster on Saturday, Browne broke the meet record in the long jump. After that performance, Browne was named the NJCAA Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

The Gibbons, Saint Kitts native was named the Jayhawk Conference men's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Browne won the Washburn Rust Buster men's long jump with a career-best jump of 24 feet, 3.85 inches (7.41m). That meet-record jump won by a whopping 2.75 inches.
