The No. 6-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's track and field team will compete at Gowans Stadium for the only time this season when the Blue Dragons compete at the 2018 Region VI Outdoor Championships on Friday and Saturday at Gowans Stadium.

The Blue Dragon field athletes open action on Friday at 4 p.m. and the runners get going at 5 p.m.

Freshman javelin thrower Anthony Landeros is the highest-ranked Blue Dragon in the national rankings heading into regionals. Landeros uncorked a throw of 203 feet, 10 inches at the Kansas Relays in April. That mark still stands as the second-best throw in the nation in 2018.

The Blue Dragons currently have 15 national qualifiers with seven of those qualifiers in the nation's Top 10 in an event.

Sprinter Kadrin Williams is ranked fourth in both the 100 and 200 meters. Sprinter Devon Henderson is eighth in the 100.

Tre'juan Cash is eighth in the 110-meter hurdles. Richard Newman is fourth in the high jump. Hammer thrower Michael Bryan is fifth in the nation.
