WICHITA – Freshman Louis Galvin tied for 10th to lead the No. 1-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational at Crestview Country Club's North Course on Tuesday.

The Blue Dragons closed out the fall season in tough scoring conditions posting a final-round 298 on Tuesday to finish the 54-hole tournament at 872.

Wichita State won the team title at 853. Utah Valley was second at 857 and Northern Iowa was third at 869.

The Blue Dragons were the highest-placing junior college team in the 10-team field. District III rival Indian Hills placed fifth at 876.

Galvin was the only Blue Dragon to place in the individual Top 10. He shot a 6-over 77 on Tuesday and closed at 4-over 217.

Sophomore Dominic Clemons was the only Blue Dragon to shoot below par on Tuesday. Clemons had a 71 in the final round and tied for 16th at 218.

Freshman Alex Lindstrom also tied for 16th at 218. Lindstrom shot a 75 on Tuesday.

Sophomore Blake Saffell tied for 20th at 219. Saffell closed with a 76.

Freshman Louis Ross placed 60th at 237 after a final-round 80.

Blue Dragon individual Joey Langstraat tied for 53rd at 231. He closed the tournament with a 1-over 73.
