TROPHY CLUB, Texas – Charlie Crockett and Harry Crockett both posted round of 2-under 70 on Monday to lead the No. 2-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's golf team during a rain-shortened Texas A&M-Commerce Lion Classic.

The tournament was delayed for more than four hours on Monday because of lighting. Played resumed at 3 p.m. and the first round was completed. Because of the weather on Monday, tournament has been cut to 36 holes. The final round will tee off at 9 a.m. at Trophy Club's Hogan Course.

Thanks to the Crockett brothers, the Blue Dragons are within striking distance of the team title. Hutchinson shot a 1-over 289 on Monday, which is two shots off the team lead of Texas A&M International, which shot 287. Midwestern State shot even-par 288 on Monday.

The Blue Dragons had the team lead for most of the day. Early on the Blue Dragons were playing 4-under until the weather delay.

Charlie Crockett and Harry Crockett are both tied for sixth at 2-under 70. Ben Partridge shot a 1-over 73 while Trey McCrae and Cameron Rios-Ceballos had 4-over 76s. Partridge is tied for 20th. McCrae and Rios-Ceballos are tied for 45th.

Earlier on Monday the NJCAA released its Division I Golf Rankings. The Blue Dragons dropped a spot to No. 2. Hutchinson is tied with Odessa for second. Midland took over the top spot.
