LUBBOCK, Texas – Freshman Harry Crockett carded back-to-back rounds of 74 to lead the No. 1-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's golf team at the Lubbock Christian Chap Classic at the Rawls Course, site of the 2021 NJCAA Men's Division I Golf Championship in May.

The Blue Dragons shot round of 301 and 302 in the first spring competition of the 2021 and is at 23-over 603. Hutchinson trails tournament leader Odessa College by 29 strokes. Hutch and Odessa were two of five teams that completed the second round. The other six team will complete the suspended second round on Tuesday morning before the start of the third and final round.

Harry Crockett is Hutch's top golfer at 4-over 148.

Freshman Ben Partridge and sophomore Charlie Crockett are tied for 15th at 5-over 149. Partridge started with a 77 and rebounded with an even-par 72. Charlie Crockett was exactly the opposite, starting the tournament with a 72 and fell off to a 77 in the afternoon round.

Freshmen Trey McCrae and Addison Alonzo both struggled at times on Monday. McCrae is tied for 42nd at +13 over 157 after rounds of 79 and 78. Alonzo is tied for 49th at +17 161. He had rounds of 80 and 81.

Freshmen Cameron Rios-Ceballos and Charlie Hilton are playing as individuals this week. Rios-Ceballos is tied for 29th at 10-over 154 on rounds of 80 and 74. Hilton is tied for 34th at 11-over 155 with rounds of 78 and 77.
