2020-21 Men's Golf Release

Hutchinson CC Sports Information

The defending Jayhawk Conference and Region VI champion Hutchinson Community College men's golf team will have another tough fall and spring schedule for the 2020-21 season.

Hutchinson will play in four fall tournaments and at least six spring tournaments for the upcoming season. The NJCAA Division I Men's Golf championship season is the spring portion of the schedule.

Twenty-first-year head coach Chris Young is very high on his team for this season with two-time first-team PING All-American Charlie Crockett returning to the Blue Dragons. Because the entire 2020 season was wiped out because of the Coronavirus pandemic, Crockett, Tyler Trudo and Trey McCrae all got their years of eligibility back from last season.

The Blue Dragons fall season opens at the CSU-Pueblo Fall Classic on October 5-6 in Pueblo, Colorado. Hutch will also play at the Midwestern State Classic (October 12-13 in Wichita Falls, Texas) and Ryan Palmer Classic (October 26-27 in Amarillo, Texas) and get an early look at the 2021 NJCAA Men's Division I National Championship course at the NJCAA Fall Preview at The Rawls Course on October 19-20 in Lubbock, Texas.

Hutchinson's 2021 spring season again opens in Texas at the Texas A&M-Commerce Lion Invitational in on March 22-23 in Trophy Club, Texas. There are plans to add a second non-league tournament to the spring schedule.

The Blue Dragons then open Jayhawk Conference play on March 29-30 at Colbert Hills in Manhattan. The second KJCCC Tournament will be at Crestview Country Club's North Course on April 12-13 in Wichita and the Jayhawk Conference Championship will be on April 19-20 at Sand Creek Station in Newton.

The NJCAA District III/Region VI Tournament will be April 26-27 at a site yet to be determined.

The NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship will be May 11-14 at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas.
