WACO, Texas – The Hutchinson Community College men's golf team shot a 313 on Monday at Twin Rivers Golf Club and the Blue Dragons are third after one round of the Dr. Pepper Classic.
The Nos. 6/8 Blue Dragons are 15 strokes off the lead of McLennan College, which shot 298. Ranger College is second at 307. No individual golfer shot under par on Monday
Sophomore Doug Rios-Ceballos was the low Blue Dragon on Monday. He is tied for seventh after one round after a 4-over-par 76.
Sophomore Matt Percy and freshman Joseph O'Neill are both tied for 15th with rounds of 78.
Sophomores Andrew Rios-Ceballos and Cole Gritton both shot 81s on Monday and are tied for 30th.
Individual player Max Smith is tied for 22nd after an opening-round 79.
The final day of the Dr. Pepper Classic is Tuesday.
