COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Sophomore Andrew Rios-Ceballos finds himself right in the thick of the individual race and the Hutchinson Community College men's golf team is third after two rounds at the Iowa Western Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Monday at Bent Tree Golf Club.

Playing once again under tough scoring conditions – temperatures in the 50s with north winds of 25 to 40 mph – the Nos. 4 and 6 Blue Dragons shot rounds of 304 and 313 to a 36-hole total of 617. Hutchinson trails team leader and NJCAA No. 1 Indian Hills by 29 strokes. No. 3 Iowa Western is second at 604.

The final round is set for Tuesday morning.

Andrew Rios-Ceballos opened is Monday by firing an even-par 72 in the morning round. Rios-Ceballos then carded a 76 in the afternoon round for a 36-hole total of 148. He is tied for fourth in the individual race and trails Bellevue University's Fernando Arzate by three strokes.

Sophomore Matt Percy is tied for 13th after Monday's rounds. Percy shot rounds of 78 and 76 for a 154 total.

Doug Rios-Ceballos is 15th at 157 after rounds of 76 and 81.

Joseph O'Neill is tied for 16th at 158 after shooting 78 and 80.

Cole Gritton is tied for 20th at 161 after carding rounds of 79 and 82.

Blue Dragon individual Max Smith shot rounds of 79 and 84 and is tied for 23rd at 163. Lake LeRoux is 37th at 187 after rounds of 95 and 92.
