The No. 23-ranked Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team is back at home on Saturday afternoon to face off against the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers in the second of a two-game homestand for the Blue Dragons.

Tipoff for the Blue Dragons (13-6, 9-4 KJCCC) and Tigers (5-12, 3-10 KJCCC) is set for 4 p.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

The game will be broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9) and on sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) beginning at 3:45 p.m. with Steve Carpenter (play-by-play) and Dan Naccarato (analyst) calling the action. The game will be streamed live and free on the Blue Dragon Sports Network beginning at 3:45 p.m.

The Blue Dragons look to rebound from their first loss in the last eight outings after Barton came into the Sports Arena and defeated the Blue Dragons 91-86.

The Dragons shot 50 percent for the fourth-straight game - that's the longest streak of 50-percent shooting games since the 2020-21 season - and hit 11 of 18 3-pointers. The Blue Dragons allowed 22 offensive rebounds and had 16 turnovers. Freshman Bo Aldridge led Hutchinson with 19 points, seven rebounds and fifth assists. D.J. Dudley had 17 points.

Fort Hays Tech Northwest lost at Coffeyville 81-75 on Thursday night. Idris Williams and Da'King Smith had 20 points each to lead the Tigers, which trailed 44-28 at halftime. The closest the Tigers got in the second half was six points.

Hutchinson and Fort Hays Tech Northwest played an overtime game in their first meeting of the season on November 23 in Goodland. The Blue Dragons prevailed 94-89.

Dudley hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Bobby Cannon sank a 2- and 3-pointers to start regulation. Jaquez Thornton's and Mikhail Abdul-Hamid's 3-pointers that created two-possession leads in overtime as the Dragons outscored the Tigers 17-12 in OT.

Cannon posted his first career double-double in the first Fort Hays Tech Northwest meeting of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Dudley had 24 points.

The Blue Dragons are now 17-1 all-time against Fort Hays Tech Northwest with a 10-0 record in games played at the Sports Arena.

Hutchinson is 7-3 at the Sports Arena this season.
