Hutchinson CC Sports Information
The Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team starts the new season ranked sixth in the Jayhawk Conference preseason Division I Coaches' Poll, which was released on Tuesday.
Head coach Tommy DeSalme's fourth Blue Dragon edition has three players back from last season ... Guard Kernan Bundy and forwards Dadrevius Weathers and Landon Wagler. DeSalme added seven freshman and five transfer players to the mix for this season.
The Blue Dragons went 20-12 last year and placed sixth in the Jayhawk Conference one year ago.
Butler is the preseason men's Division I pick in the KJCCC for 2024. After the Grizzlies, the Top 5 has Barton, Garden City, Dodge City and Coffeyville
The Blue Dragon open the 2023-24 season on Friday, November 3 against North Idaho College in the BSN Tipoff Classic. The Dragons play NEO in the BSN Classic on November 4.
