Redshirt freshman Aaron Franklin posted his fifth double-double of the season, which included a career-high 18 rebounds, to pace the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team to its fourth-straight victory of the season on Saturday at the Sports Arena.

Franklin had his 13th game this season scoring 20 or more points in the Blue Dragons' 86-75 Jayhawk Conference victory over Seward County.

The Blue Dragons improved to 12-5 overall and 6-5 in the Jayhawk Conference with their seventh-consecutive victory over the Saints. Hutchinson has its first conference bye of the season on Wednesday and returns to action next Saturday at Garden City in a 4 p.m. tipoff at Conestoga Arena. Seward County dropped to 9-8 overall and 5-6 in the league.

Franklin had a game-high 25 points on 10 of 20 shooting. He had his third game of five or more 3-pointers, going 5 of 10 from the arc. Franklin's 18 rebounds tied Ed Manuel (1984) and DeShawn Freeman (2015) for the seventh-most rebounds in Blue Dragon single-game history.

Hutchinson led 37-32 at halftime and had a game-high 17-point lead after a Steele Gaston-Chapman 3-pointer gave the Dragons a 54-37 lead with 13:29 to play in the second half. The Blue Dragons immediately responded with a 15-1 run over the next 4:10 reclaim control of the game. Five different Hutchinson players scored in that burst. Aaron's Potter's layup with 5:05 to play in the second half gave the Blue Dragons a 76-59 lead.
