Six players scored in double figures as the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team and the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team extended its winning streak to eight games Wednesday night at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons broke the 100-point mark for the second-consecutive games, defeating the Northwest Tech Mavericks 101-85 in a Jayhawk West matchup.

Hutchinson improved to 13-3 overall and maintained its three-game lead in the Jayhawk West over Dodge City. The Conquistadors needed two overtimes to defeat Seward County on Wednesday to stay three games behind the Blue Dragons.

The last time the Blue Dragons had back-to-back games breaking the century mark in consecutive games was November 2018 when Hutchinson had three-straight games of 100-plus points.

The Blue Dragons shot 50 percent in the first half (17 of 34) I building a 45-35 lead.

Chris Robinson led six players in double figures with 19 points to go with four rebounds and three assists.

Josh Baker had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jaden Okon just missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Matt Mayers' streak of consecutive double-doubles at nine with 12 points and nine rebounds. Majok Kuath had 12 points and Isaiah Bujdoso had 11 points and seven assists.

The Blue Dragons shot 49.3 percent for the game (34 of 69), hitting 3 of 7 from 3-point range and 30 of 37 from the foul line. Five different Blue Dragons had at last four free throws led by Baker, who went 8 for 9).

The Dragons out-rebounded Northwest Tech 51-27 and survived 19 turnovers.

Arthur Cox had a game-high 20 points to lead the Mavericks. Jacari Chambers had 17 points and Malik Lacewell had 15 points.

The Mavericks shot 30 of 70 from the field (42.9 percent), hitting 12 of 23 from 3-point range and 13 of 19 from the free-throw line.

Hutchinson play host to Seward County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Sports Arena.
