Sophomore forward James Rojas posted three 20-point games in three Hutchinson Community College victories last week and was named the Jayhawk Conference Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-8 sophomore from Jamestown, NY, averaged 23.7 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting 64.9 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 84 percent from the free-throw line.
The Jayhawk Conference's third-leading scorer had 24 points each against Pratt and Dodge City and had 23 in a tough road win at Colby.
This is the second time this season Rojas has been named the conference's Player of the Week. The first time came in Week No. 2 in November.
This is the third time a Blue Dragons has earned a weekly conference honor. D.J. Mitchell won the award in Week 14.
Rojas is now eligible for NJCAA national weekly honors. Those awards will be announced on Thursday.
