ENID, Oklahoma – The Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team posted season highs for points, field-goal percentage and made 3-pointers and placed six players in double figures for the second time in three games on Tuesday night in the Blue Dragons' first road trip of the young season.

Sophomore James Rojas scored a game-high 22 points to lead the No. 9 Blue Dragons to a 109-68 pasting of NOC-Enid.

The Blue Dragons improve to 3-0 heading into weekend action in the Barton Cougar Classic in Great Bend. Hutchinson will play Spring Creek Academy on Friday and Redlands on Saturday.

Hutchinson opened the game with a 29-9 run and never looked back. The Blue Dragons shot 59.0 percent in the opening 20 minutes, forcing 13 Jet turnovers and turning them into 17 points, and build a 56-30 lead by halftime.

The Dragons shot right at 60 percent for most of the second half and knocked down 8 of 13 from distance in outscoring NOC-Enid 53-38 in the final stanza. Hutchinson's largest lead of the game was 47 points.

The Blue Dragons broke the 100-point mark for the first time this season shooting a season-high 56.7 percent (38 of 67)

Hutch hit a season-best 12 of 27 3-pointers, getting three 3-pointers each from Chris Giles, D.J. Mitchell and Boubacar Kamissoko and two from Rojas. Five different Hutch players hit 3-pointers in the game.

Rojas tied for game-high honors with 22 points on 9 of 14 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Mitchell came off the bench to score 19 points on 3 of 6 shooting from distance.

Giles finished with 16 points with three assists and two steals.

Malique Jacobs was part of a 53-13 bench advantage of 14 points to go with six assists and five steals. Kamissoko added 12 points.

Center Fred Odhiambo had a quick start with all 13 points coming in the first half. Odihambo was 5 of 7 shooting to go with a team-high nine rebounds and four blocked shots.

Hutch finished 21 of 31 from the free-throw line and out-rebounded the Jets 45-28. The Dragons had 27 assists, 12 turnovers and 15 steals in the game.

NOC-Enid shot 35.9 percent for the game (23 of 64) with 10 of 33 from the 3-point line and 12 of 17 from the free-throw line. The Jets had 21 turnovers.

Ray'Shawn Dotson hit four 3-pointers and tied Rojas for team-high honors with 22 points. Tony Hall added four 3-pointers in a 12-point effort Romio Harvey had 10 points.

Hutchinson is now 3-0 all-time against NOC-Enid. This was the first time for the Blue Dragons to play in Enid. The last time the two teams played was 2007 in the Sports Arena.
