Coming off his first career double-double, Hutchinson Community College sophomore guard Devonte Bandoo was named this week's Jayhawk Conference Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Bandoo, a 6-foot-3 guard from Brampton, Ontario, Canada, nearly averaged a double-double as No. 1 Hutchinson earned two Jayhawk Conference victories last week.

Bandoo averaged 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as Hutchinson defeated No. 14 Coffeyville and Neosho County.

Against the Red Ravens, Bandoo flirted with his first career double-double with 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting and eight rebounds with five assists. Against Neosho County, Bandoo did produce his first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Bandoo is the first Blue Dragon to earn KJCCC Player of the Week honors. This is his first career conference player of the week award.
