LAIBLE NAMED NJCAA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Blue Dragon Quarterback Dylan Laible named NJCAA National Offensive Player of the Week.

For the second time in his Blue Dragon career, Hutchinson Community College quarterback Dylan Laible has been named the NJCAA National Offensive Player of the Week.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore quarterback from Little Elm, Texas threw five touchdown passes to lead the No. 3 Blue Dragons to a 42-0 victory over No. 13 Navarro this past Saturday in the 2022 season opener at Gowans Stadium.

The Jayhawk Conference named Laible as the league's Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Laible completed 13 of 18 passes for 278 yards in playing the entire first half and one series of the third quarter.

He threw touchdown passes of 50, 48, 15, 90 and 18 yards to three different receivers as Hutchinson opened a 35-0 lead by halftime.

Laible now had five games with five or more touchdown passes in his Blue Dragon career and he's now No. 3 on the Blue Dragon career passing chart with 3,921 yards.

The Blue Dragon quarterback was also named the NJCAA National Player of the Week last season when he threw for 363 yards and five touchdowns against Dodge City on Oct. 24, 2021.
