Hutchinson Community College sophomore quarterback Dylan Laible threw for five touchdowns to lead the No. 3-ranked Blue Dragons to a 42-0 season-opening victory over No. 13 Navarro on Saturday in Hutchinson.

That performance netted him Jayhawk Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week honors, which were announced on Tuesday.

Laible completed 13 of 18 passes for 278 yards in playing the entire first half and one series of the third quarter.

He threw touchdown passes of 50, 48, 15, 90 and 18 yards to three different receivers as Hutchinson opened a 35-0 lead by halftime.

Laible now had five games with five or more touchdown passes in his Blue Dragon career and he's now No. 3 on the Blue Dragon career passing chart with 3,921 yards.
