For the second-straight week, a member of the Hutchinson Community College football team was named the Jayhawk Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Sophomore quarterback Dylan Laible threw for career highs of 363 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Blue Dragons to a decisive 49-17 win at Dodge City last Saturday.

One week ago, running back Anwar Lewis was named the league's offensive player of the week. Laible is the sixth different Blue Dragon to earn other offensive, defensive or special teams' honors in the 2021 season.

Laible's 363 yards the fourth-most passing yards in a single game by a Blue Dragon quarterback. His five touchdowns are the fifth-most in single-game history, tying five other quarterbacks.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback from Little Elm, Texas, connected on TD passes of 11, 57, 15, 39 and 81 yards in his performance.

Laible jumped from a tie for 10th to fifth in Blue Dragon career touchdown passes. Laible completed 16 of 24 passes. Four of those touchdowns came in a 28-point first quarter.
