The Hutchinson Community College baseball team looks to clinch the 13th conference championship in Blue Dragon history on Saturday.

The Blue Dragons meet the Cloud County Thunderbirds in the final two games of the final Jayhawk West series of the season on Saturday.

Game times for the ultra-important doubleheader are at 1 and 3 p.m. The series will be played at McPherson College's Field at 1000 South Centennial in McPherson. Hobart-Detter Field is not available on Saturday. The teams flipped home doubleheaders after all the rain this week made Hutch's home field unplayable on Thursday.

Both games will be video streamed by the Blue Dragon Sports Network at 12:45 p.m.

The series is tied at 1-1 after the Blue Dragons and Thunderbirds split Games 1 and 2 on Thursday in Concordia.

Cloud County saw a five-run lead slip away as the Dragons rallied with five unanswered runs in the top of the sixth. The Thunderbirds scored two in the bottom of the sixth for a 9-7 win. Then, Max McGuire and Riley Metzger hit home runs in a four-run top of the ninth to help the Dragons escape with a split after a 6-3 win in Game 2.

With Hutchinson's split with Cloud County and Butler's sweep of Garden City on the Broncbusters' home field, the Blue Dragons lead in the Jayhawk West over Butler is a single game with two games to play. Garden City is at Butler on Saturday.

The Blue Dragons last won a Jayhawk West title in 2016.
