With five multi-hit games last week, Hutchinson Community College sophomore third baseman Wyatt Divis earned a pair of weekly Player of the Week honors.

On Tuesday, Divis was named the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week and on Wednesday, the sophomore from Lincoln, Nebraska, was named the NJCAA Division I Baseball National Player of the Week.

Divis is the first Blue Dragon to earn national player of the week honors since Michael Helman last season.

The Blue Dragon is the third Blue Dragon to earn conference player of the week honors, joining Logan Sartori and Mike Brown, who was named the KJCCC pitcher of the week two weeks ago.

Divis had five-straight multi-hit games, including a two-home run game and a pitching victory in Hutchinson's 5-0 week.

The sophomore from Lincoln Northeast High School hit .524 (11 for 21) with an on-base percentage of .600 and a slugging percentage of 1.048. With his two home runs against Pratt, Divis moved into fifth place on the Blue Dragon career home run list.

He had four two-hit games and his 3 for 5 game with four RBIs and three runs scored against Pratt included his two-home run game.

Divis is now hitting .391 with 14 home runs and 52 RBIs, all team highs, this season heading into this week's Jayhawk West series with Seward County. His 24 career home runs, Divis is tied for fourth in the Blue Dragon career list. His 113 RBIs are seventh on the career list, 31 doubles are sixth on the career list and his 114 total hits are tied for 22nd on that career list.
