Behind a season-high attack percentage and 11 service aces, the Hutchinson Community College volleyball team remained unbeaten in Jayhawk Conference play with a sweep of the Pratt Beavers on Monday night at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons needed exactly 60 minutes to roll to a 25-10, 25-6, 25-16 victory over the Beavers.

Opening a week-long homestand with Pratt, the Blue Dragons improved to 10-4 overall and are 4-0 on the KJCCC. The Blue Dragons play host to Butler on Wednesday and Colby on Saturday at the Sports Arena. Pratt fell to 2-7 overall, 0-3 in the league.

Sophomore middle blocker Anna Dean high a career-high .647 with 11 kills on 17 attacks to lead a Blue Dragon offense that hit a season-high .392.

Sophomore Taniya Golden had nine kills on .263 hitting. Sophomore Cameron Letcher had six kills on .750 hitting. Sophomore Ashlyn Long had six kills on .250 hitting.

A strong Blue Dragon service game kept Pratt out of system for a majority of the match. The Dragons had 11 aces to only four service errors. Six different players had aces serves led by Alejandra Briseno with three aces. Dean, Giovanna Ravanhani and freshman Alondra Velez had two aces each.

The Blue Dragons out-blocked Pratt 10-2, getting seven blocks in the opening set. Letcher and freshman McKenzie Murphy had five blocks each. Long had four block assists and Dean had three block assists.

Freshman libero Isabella Rollandini had a match-high 12 digs. Golden had eight digs.

Ravanhani guided the offense with 30 assists.

The Blue Dragons held an opponent to negative hitting, stifling Pratt to a minus-.181 attack percentage (11 kills, 24 errors). Riley Hallman had four kills for the Beavers.

SET 1: The Blue Dragons dominated the first set with seven blocks, four aces and a .389 attack percentage with Long leading the way with four kills in the set. Pratt hit a minus-.300 in the set. Tied at 7-all, a Long kill started a run of seven unanswered points to build a 14-7 lead after a Long/Letcher double block. A solo Letcher block gave the Dragons a 12-1 run and a 19-8 lead. The Dragons closed the set with a 5-0 run powered by two Briseno aces.

SET 2: With Ravanhani serving to start the set, the Blue Dragons scored 10 unanswered top open the set. Dean and Golden had two kills each and the Beavers had three attack errors. Leading by eight (12-4), Dean had two kills in a 5-0 run to up the lead to 17-4. Leading 20-6, Long started a set-clinching 5-0 run with a kill. The Blue Dragons hit .619 with 13 kills on 21 attacks in the set. Pratt hit a minus-.231.

SET 3: Tied at 6-all, the Blue Dragons went on a 7-0 run with two aces from Velez, kills from Long, Murphy and Dean and a Murphy/Long double block for a 13-6 lead. The Beavers battled back to within 15-14 and prompted a Blue Dragon timeout. Out of the timeout, Golden had two kills and Ryleigh Stuhlsatz had an ace for an 18-14 lead. That run was the start of a 10-2 run as Hutchinson scored the final seven points of the match, getting a kill from Letcher on match point. The Dragons hit .257 in the set. Pratt hit a minus-.038.
